A nifty switching layout

Hey Gang,

Ken Jones Jr. is coming to the Ontario Narrow Gauge Show.

He sent me some pictures of his portable layout.

I have reconstructed my 5/8" scale layout into a small point to point modular setup, and may be interested in bringing it up for show. It is by no means finished, and I have a little bit more to go. Right now, it takes up an L shape, 10'x8'. This was my home layout, until I went back to Nscale. I resurrected this layout 2 months ago for our railway show in Niagara Falls.

This was actually my home layout for awhile, but after my son was born, I went back to N scale.  I held on to the pieces of this layout, and rebuilt it into a small modular point to point layout.  Basically, things get loaded onto flats or gons/hoppers at one end, then get moved to an unloading shed at the other end.  Nothing fancy, and still under development.  There will be an extra 2 ft added shortly to complete a runaround and extra siding at one end.  Here a few shots taken at the woodstock show the other week, it's second time out on display.

Havign a little trouble figuring what gauge tarck is being used here.  I understand that it is 5/8th" to the foot .. what is the prototype gauge being modelled?

Looking forward to seeing the layout at Schomberg!

Hi Russ
Hope this helps  ::)  5/8"=1'-0" is also 1:19.2 or SM32 which is two foot gauge prototype on O (32mm) track.  The mini cousin to the ultimate scale 7/8"=1'-0"   ;D ;D
