A friend of mine is looking for Gn15 chassis parts. Any one able to offer any suggestions?

Howdy Pea-Aire,

I would imagine that any HO mechanism would work.

It depends on what the modeller is trying to build.

Any HO model with a large seat added to the roof or tender would make a miniature railway/Amusment Park Ride in 1:24

For industrial locomotive critters, use the On30 Porter, or Trolley mechanism.  Any 4-wheel loco could be kit-bashed.

Tell him to go to the Paris Show and talk to the bunch there. Lots of thought on chassis to be seen.

..... and a productive 2009 modelling year to one and all.

Bernie wasn't looking for mechanisms, but rather things like journal boxes, pedestals, frame bits and detail-y sort of stuff to make an HO mechanism "look" like a Gn15 critter or loco ....

As an aside, might I ask that we keep on subject in the forums as they quickly become mired in off-topic questions? Unless there is some way of easily discarding off-topic conversation, i.e. in this instance, the question of the Paris Show, which has now passed.

Just a minor point, but I've been on some of these forums and they grow to dozens of off-topic pages and it becomes impossible to find the answer or comments to the original question. Railroad Line forums is the worst offender, some of the guys there have upwards of 10,000 posts and the thing is so boggy and hard to navigate, I've stopped using it.
