Baldwin Narrow gauge 2-8-0s
« on: January 26, 2009, 06:00:48 PM »
Hi Folks,
As a new member I thought I would have the honour of being the first to post on the Fn3 section. I could be considered the ultimate rubber gauger as I like all scales but presently I am reworking a Accucraft DRG&W C21 to enhance its performance and detail.
I have already installed new burners (it's live steam) moved the gas line to under the
apron, moved the lubricator, and now wish to install a false backhead with proper fittings.
Can anyone suggest where I could locate a photo of a c21 backhead and cab interior ?
Even a photo of another Baldwin of the same era where the backhead in almost flush with the back of the cab would be of great help. I have a good collection of books but have not yet located a good photo.
After I finish this rework on the C21 I shall post some before and after Photos.
Best wishes from the great white Muskoka's were we already have received ten and a half feet of snow this winter, sometimes I think I should be building a steam power snowmobile instead of a locomotive.
