Paul James checking in....
« on: February 01, 2009, 12:24:22 PM »
Hey all,

It's been a while since I've had time to keep up on my yahoo groups, forums etc...  Finally found the e-mail pointing here.

Anyway,  Greetings from the sunny south. (Blenheim, ON) where it's a balmy 0 degrees.

Been pecking away at modeling some On30 traction for a few years now, but not getting very far. (lack of time, i guess).  But am still working on a scratchbuilt combine for my future Chatham, Wallaceburg and Lake Erie (CW&LE).

I hope to get some motivation from you all...

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Nice to hear from you.

Any chance that you will make the pilgrimage from  Blenheim to Schomberg in April?  It sure would be nice to see you.

As a new (since 2008) member to this narrow gauge addiction, I would add my recommendation that you find your way in April to Schomberg.

The show in Schomberg is really well worth the time. A great chance to meet fellow modelers and see some great work, and there is a lot of spectacular work there each year.

Thanks guys,

I would love to come up to Schomberg.  I've put it on my calendar.  We'll have to see if my wife is willing to go see her parents that weekend in Kitchener.  (That's a good halfway point to make the trip worthwhile in her mind!).  A few years ago, I went to a meet in Caledonia and was enthralled by a clinic on handlaying turnouts.  (I forget who presented it, but he sure made it simple).  Meets like that one are what it takes to give me a kick in the pants to sit down and do some more modelling.

I'm looking forward to seeing you're work.... (and maybe posting some of my own...)

Thanks,

Paul
