Hi from New Zealand
« on: October 23, 2009, 01:09:03 AM »
Hi to all NGers,

I'm Brian Shears from NZ 30 clicks north of Wellington.  Just retired with the workshop nearly sorted.  Aim to scratch build battery electric in 78ths and Gn15 and live steam in 78ths.  Plus a small outdoor layout of British flavour, dirty, scruffy mining/industrial setting.  I like small scruffy industrial/mining rolling stock with no more than 4 wheels.  I hope to learn a lot and to contribute as and where I can.  Good to see we are both still pink on the world map!  I am sure I will really enjoy this NG journey and have enough ideas, plans and photocopies of projects in my bucket list to last about 55 years or more.  See you in the forum.

Cheers,
Brian,

Any more than 4 wheels is a waste - except for geared locos

Hi TinGoat,

I had the 16 wheeler mentioned in the SEths forum in reference to the signature and I replied that I though that the limit should be IMHO 2 x 4 wheel geared boggies!  One has to take a stand somewhere!!
I'm no really that bad but it does break the ice at various G scale garden railways around our neck of the woods.
Thanks for the welcome.
Cheers,
